Founded in 2004, the Mystic River Yacht Club is a boating organization run by its members for its members. Our mission statement is to promote and encourage the challenges and rewards of yachting, both power and sail, and to offer social, community-minded activities - educating and sharing skills that contribute to safe and enjoyable boating for all ages. MRYC is proud of its full seasonal cruising schedule, developed by its members to take advantage of all ports the L.I. Sound area has to offer, including day sails, raft ups, and extended weekends, with reciprocity at sister yacht clubs. MRYC offers instructional family sailing in our fleet of JY-15s as well as competition in our sailing regattas open to all yacht clubs and all sailors.  MRYC is a year-round club with a very full calendar of social and educational activities, even in the off-season.

MRYC maintains its clubhouse at the Mystic Shipyard, a short dinghy ride and within walking distance of charming downtown Mystic  The excellent interior space, the wrap-around verandas overlooking the beautiful Mystic River, and the swimming pool available to members all contribute to make ours one of the premier clubhouses in the area.
